The mission of the University is to provide high-quality, widely available modern education due to the knowledge and experience of teachers, development of scientific and educational technology. To prepare professionals capable of practical implementation of acquired knowledge in science, industry and business. To develop the creative research potential of young people and their attempt to self-education and self-identity as vital necessity.
Abbreviation of the university name is kind of formula that can be interpreted as: З (знання/knowledge) + H (наука/science) + T (талант/talent) = У (успіх/success), and mission quintessence fits into the phrase «Vivere est cogitare»: «To live is to think.»

Target tasks of University development
I. Target task - Study.
The strategic goal - continuous improvement of engineering and business education quality.
Direction 1. Providing the high quality of admitted students.
Objective 1.1. Enroll students with high average mark by the results of independent testing.
Objective 1.2. Organize and hold the Ukrainian regional stages of competitions for schoolchildren.
Objective 1.3. Develop the system of Pre-University training aimed at the increase of independent testing average score and early vocational orientation of schoolchildren for a career of engineer, manager, marketer and financier.
Objective 1.4. Organize continued work with talented schoolchildren focused on engineering and business education.
Objective 1.5. Create a network of specialized base schools of the University to work with talented students and to provide the high-quality enrollment of students.
Direction 2. Renewal of educational programs
Objective 2.1. Develop educational programs of new type as a means of receiving high-quality education.
Objective 2.2. Continuous updating of educational programs with focus on the actual needs of innovative socio-economic and cultural development of Zaporizhzhya and other regions of Ukraine with the participation of employers, top managers, entrepreneurs and NGOs.

The strategic goal - ensuring a high level of new quality education by means of basic and topical research of professional and subject training of students.
Direction 1. Develop basic and applied research for providing high quality education and training.
Objective 1.1. Integrate education, research and practice in the field of continuing and additional education for improving the quality of education and training.
Objective 1.2. Develop basic and applied research on current trends in modern continuous engineering and business education.
Objective 1.3. Increase of fundamental research level to provide high quality subject training of students.
Objective 1.4. Integrate university research in the European Research Area.
Objective 1.5. Publish the research results of university scientists in indexed scientific periodicals including bases abroad.
Objective 1.6. Use the resources of international grants for the development of research activities at the university.
Direction 2. Develop human capacity of the University.
Objective 2.1. Use magistracy opportunities for the selection of talented researchers.
Objective 2.2. Further develop postgraduate and doctoral studies for the development of human capacity and improving the quality of university education and training.
Objective 2.3. Involve successful managers, engineers, businessmen and entrepreneurs for participation in business-oriented training of students.
Objective 2.4. Develop the programs of scientific cooperation and academic exchange with foreign universities in areas relevant to university researches.

The strategic goal - to update educational programs, technology of training and education, research performance and to improve the financial sustainability of the University.
Direction 1. The development of innovation.
Objective 1.1. The University should be a place of augmenting knowledge, transforming them into innovations that have a positive economic and social impact.
Objective 1.2. Organize the new management environment of independent development based on the new status of budget organization and present smart business.
Objective 1.3. Create a system of mass training of scientific and pedagogical staff, employees and students of the University in the field of innovation and innovative entrepreneurship, and the ability to create and protect intellectual property on the basis of existing research results and educational practice.

Direction 1. Develop the human capital of Zaporizhzhya region.
Objective 1.1. Socially oriented educational activities for different target groups of population.
Objective 1.2. Development and promotion of humanitarian innovation for social and economic development of the region.
Objective 1.3. Meet the needs of the inhabitants of the region to obtain various forms of continuing and further education in an accessible form.
Objective 1.4. Prepare proposals, expert opinions, bills aimed at improving the quality of life in the region for executive and legislative authorities.
Objective 1.5. Participate in the formation of new engineering, business, scientific and cultural elite of the region, capable of modernizing society and innovation.
Objective 1.6. Preserve and enhance the cultural traditions of the territorial community, development of traditions of tolerance and multicultural development.
Direction 2. Rrealize socially significant projects for the region development.
Objective 2.1. Monitor social problems of Zaporizhzhya region to determine areas of socially significant projects.
Objective 2.2. Involve scientific and pedagogical staff, employees and students of the university into the solving of specific social problems of the region.
